Are you an experienced Group Reporting professional with a strong audit background looking for your next step within a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, well‑established Group headquartered in Welwyn Garden City, taking ownership of complex group reporting cycles and acting as a key partner to multiple divisions.
The Company A leading multi‑division Group with a turnover in the billions, known for a strong finance function, excellent progression opportunities, and ongoing investment in systems and process improvement.
The Role As Group Reporting Manager, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high‑quality consolidated reporting, supporting divisional finance teams, and driving strong control across the Group. This is a broad and visible role with significant senior stakeholder exposure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the monthly Group consolidation and external reporting deliverables.
- Acting as “Controller” for two divisions (approx. £750m revenue per division), reviewing accounts, workstreams, and month‑end submissions.
- Providing technical accounting support and guidance to 6 divisions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Supporting ongoing systems and consolidation tool improvements.
- Driving continuous enhancements to internal controls.
- Leading key reporting projects and assisting with year‑end and audit processes.
- Partnering closely with divisional FDs, Group FC and other senior stakeholders.
Experience Required We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a track record of delivering in complex, deadline‑driven environments:
- 6–8 years’ experience post‑qualification.
- Audit / practice background essential (Top 4 to Top 10 firm preferred).
- 2–3 years’ experience in group or corporate reporting within industry.
- Strong exposure to consolidation systems, group structures, and multi‑entity environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and large volumes of data.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
- Strong grasp of controls, reporting frameworks, and audit principles.
