Job description

We're supporting a proudly unconventional Milton Keynes–based organisation that is moving beyond its traditional offering and repositioning itself as a more modern, creative, and trend‑focused brand. They’re in a period of growing, experimenting, and pushing past what they’ve always done. They’re now looking for a Finance Manager who can play a key role in that transformation.

The Opportunity This is a broad, end‑to‑end finance position suited to someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and having the space to shape how things are done. The successful candidate will be confident navigating both the operational detail and the commercial big picture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full finance operations ownership, including month-end and oversight of transactional processes.
  • Compliance and controls, ensuring financial integrity as the business grows.
  • Forecasting and budgeting, providing forward-looking models and scenario planning.
  • Cashflow management, supporting stability across the organisation.
  • Commercial insight, turning data into meaningful recommendations.
  • Cross-functional partnering, working closely with multiple divisions across the business.

This role requires someone genuinely people-oriented, who can build trust, guide non-finance stakeholders, and communicate financial concepts clearly.

Who They’re Looking For Ideal candidates may have the following:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification, with recent post‑qualification experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and natural relationship‑building ability.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, change, and a business that’s still shaping its future identity.
  • A commercial mindset and an ability to translate numbers into actionable narrative.
  • Experience within FMCG or similarly fast‑paced environments (an advantage, not a must).
  • A blend of structure and creativity. Has the ability to put solid processes in place but enjoys thinking beyond the obvious.
