Senior Management Accountant

Job description

Role Overview We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional to join a dynamic team. This role involves managing monthly accounts, delivering insightful analysis, and supporting key financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will play a vital part in improving systems and controls while fostering strong relationships across the business. Key Responsibilities

• Monthly Accounts: Prepare monthly accounts, including posting accruals and prepayments, and make informed decisions and recommendations.
• Management Reporting: Prepare and review management accounts packs with clear, value-adding analysis.
• Balance Sheet: Complete and present monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Compliance: Ensure accounts comply with current financial regulations and meet audit requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance processes and take ownership of implementing improvements.
• Controls: Introduce new financial controls where necessary.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting and reforecasting process.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships and help drive positive change within the business.

Analysis & Reporting

• Develop and maintain financial analysis and reporting as required.
• Continuously improve monthly analysis to keep pace with business growth.

General Administration

• Maintain spreadsheets, data, and reporting to support efficient department operations.
• Liaise with auditors and assist with queries.

Payroll

• Check and post monthly payroll and provide insightful variance analysis.
