Role Overview My client are seeking a highly skilled finance professional to take a pivotal role within their finance function. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead on technical accounting matters, ensure robust financial controls, and drive process improvements across the team. You will oversee all aspects of financial accounting, manage statutory reporting, and act as the key contact for Group reporting, tax, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Statutory Reporting: Prepare statutory accounts for both company and Group, including consolidations, ensuring compliance with FRS 102.
• Technical Accounting Leadership: Lead on all technical accounting matters and maintain ongoing compliance with relevant standards.
• Financial Controls: Review and enhance internal systems and controls to align with the scale and complexity of the business.
• Audit Management: Oversee the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors to deliver statutory accounts on time.
• Group Reporting: Take responsibility for quarterly Group reporting requirements.
• Tax Compliance: Manage all tax compliance activities, working closely with the Group accounting team to meet deadlines.
• FX Accounting: Accurately account for FX contracts under hedge and non-hedge accounting, applying the correct approach for each contract type.
• Balance Sheet Integrity: Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure high-quality working papers.
• Process Improvement: Lead finance projects focused on automation and efficiency.
• VAT Returns: Prepare quarterly VAT returns accurately and on time.
