Job description

NPPV3 Cleared Network Engineer (Contract) We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with active NPPV3 clearance to support secure enterprise environments within a high-assurance public sector setting.

Contract Overview

- Role: Network Engineer

- Clearance Required: NPPV3 (active)

- Contract Type: Contract

- Location: Stafford, 5 days on site

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise network infrastructures
• Configure and support Local Area Networks (LANs) across multi-site environments
• Deploy, configure, and manage FortiGate firewalls
• Configure and maintain Cisco switches in complex network environments
• Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices
• Provide documentation and technical support where required

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive hands-on experience in network engineering
• Proven experience setting up and managing LAN environments
• Strong experience configuring and supporting FortiGate firewalls
• Strong experience configuring and managing Cisco switches
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Active NPPV3 clearance (mandatory)

Desirable

• Experience in secure or public sector environments
• Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, NSE)
