[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are working with a client based in Cheshunt who are looking for a Interim Assistant Accountant to join there growing team! The Interim Assistant Accountant will support the finance team with month-end processes and day-to-day accounting activities.

Job description

[Employer hidden] are working with a client based in Cheshunt who are looking for a Interim Assistant Accountant to join there growing team! The Interim Assistant Accountant will support the finance team with month-end processes and day-to-day accounting activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the month-end close process
  • Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments
  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Performing bank and control account reconciliations
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with journals, depreciation, and corrections
  • Supporting VAT returns and other statutory reporting
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requests

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an assistant accountant or similar finance role
  • Understanding of month-end processes, including accruals and prepayments
  • Actively studying or planning to study towards an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills
  • Confident Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively as part of a team

What's on Offer:Length - Ongoing rolling contract
Day rate - £135 to £150 per day
Hybrid working pattern
