Project Manager (Engineering)

Location: York, North Yorkshire

Salary: £45 – £50k plus Company vehicle and benefits

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

You’ll take ownership of projects from sales handover through design, manufacture, installation and completion.

This role suits a practical, organised Project Manager who enjoys coordinating people, processes and technical detail in a hands-on engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take project handover from Sales and act as the main point of contact
  • Survey customer sites and define project scope
  • Produce GA concepts and brief the Drawing Office
  • Coordinate design, fabrication and installation activities
  • Liaise with Sales, Drawing Office, Workshop and Site teams
  • Manage project schedules, materials, costs and hired equipment
  • Support safe systems of work and installation planning
  • Communicate with clients throughout delivery
  • Review completed projects and feed learning back into the business
  • Actively support [Employer hidden]’s health, safety and quality culture

(Autodesk Inventor experience is advantageous; a working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.)

  • Proven experience in engineering project management
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Confidence working with drawings and technical documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A practical, solutions-focused mindset
  • Experience in manufacturing, fabrication or process engineering is an advantage
