Great! Becky at JT Recruit would like to hear from you. She is looking to appoint multiple experienced medical receptionist/administrator who can cover short term temporary demand in supporting busy GP surgery teams in the Derby & Burton areas.
Demand is high at the moment, and your key skills would keep these vital services moving. Great opportunity and flexibility for someone with previous GP practice or NHS admin experience who enjoys working in a patient-facing, fast-paced environment.
Full & Part-time hours available
Evening and weekend work paid at enhanced rates
** Key Responsibilities for a medical receptionist / administrator**
- Welcoming and assisting patients in person and by phone
- Managing appointment bookings and patient records
- Processing prescriptions and test results
- Handling incoming messages, online admin, and email enquiries
- Liaising with clinical staff and external healthcare providers
- Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a GP surgery, NHS, or medical setting is preferred
- Confident using clinical systems (e.g. EMIS, SystmOne) and Microsoft Office
- Professional, friendly and calm under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- A good understanding of confidentiality and patient care
- Team player with a flexible and proactive approach
- DBS check will be required for these roles
