FULL DESCRIPTION

Packaging Machine Designer

We’re looking for a practical, skilled designer with solid engineering knowledge and a head for problem-solving. You’ll be working on real machines, not just drawings; turning ideas into working solutions that are built, tested and used by customers all over the world.

You’ll be part of a small team of experienced designers and engineers, developing bespoke and standard packaging machinery. It’s hands-on work that covers every stage, from initial layout to final build support. You’ll be using SolidWorks to design new systems and improve existing ones, always with an eye on usability, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

This role suits someone who understands how machines work, thinks logically and enjoys getting things right. You’ll be working closely with our production team, so good communication and a practical mindset are key.

What you’ll need:

  • Strong SolidWorks skills
  • Mechanical design or engineering background
  • Experience designing industrial or packaging machinery (or similar)
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Based in the UK and able to work on-site

What you’ll get:

  • A full-time, permanent role in a respected UK manufacturing company
  • The chance to design machines used across the world
  • A supportive, experienced team who know their stuff
  • A varied role where you’ll see your designs come to life

How to apply:

Email your CV and a short cover note to [contact hidden]. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Please note:

This role is UK-based. You’ll need to be eligible to work in the UK and able to travel to client sites as required. Office-based or field-based options available depending on experience.
