FULL DESCRIPTION

Sewing Machine Supervisor

You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and operational excellence within the sewing department. The role will involve working alongside another Sewing Machine Supervisor, as a partnership to lead and support a team of sewing machinists to produce high quality products efficiently, safely and consistently.

What’s in it for you!

  • Paying £14.50p/hr. plus £1.50p/hr bonus if production target met once training completed.
  • Working Hours are Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm, and Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm. Overtime is available dependant on workload
  • Holidays are 24 days, plus bank holidays. Long service days are available after 5 years’ service. Christmas Shutdown (save 3 days holiday)

What you’ll do

You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and operational excellence within the sewing department. The role will involve working alongside another Sewing Machine Supervisor, as a partnership to lead and support a team of sewing machinists to produce high quality products efficiently, safely and consistently. You’ll be a hands on leader, able to combine technical sewing expertise with team leadership to ensure the smooth running of the production line. you’ll champion high quality, encourage continuous improvement and help develop a collaborative and high performing team environment. Full job spec available.

Experience you need

Proven experience within an industrial sewing or manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of sewing machines including the following – Flat bed machine (automated cut offs), cyclinder arm machines, walking foot machines, taper machines, PLK machines, flat foot taper guides and AMS machines. High attention to detail Able to work independently and contribute to a strong team culture.
