FULL DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in programming and setting CNC machines for precision fabrication. Experience in CAD software is beneficial but not essential. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for ensuring that all machining operations are executed efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Set & programme CNC machines, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the fabrication team to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the machining process.
- Utilise hand tools as needed for various tasks.
- Perform quality checks on finished products using basic math skills to ensure compliance with engineering drawings.
- Assist in materials handling and inventory management within the warehouse environment.
- Participate in assembly and welding tasks as required by production needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes and materials handling techniques.
- Experience with tooling, assembly, and welding practices is advantageous.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely in a workshop setting.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
