Management Accountant

The role involves producing monthly management accounts, managing commercial reporting, creating financial models, and supporting budgeting. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified or fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with experience in a manufacturing environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a confident, analytical finance professional who can turn data into actionable insight, challenge assumptions, and partner with teams across the business to drive performance.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys problem-solving, and wants exposure to global operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As our Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting decision making across the business, with responsibilities including:

Costing & Operational Finance

  • Managing cost accounting including supplier pricing, labour rates, standard costing and BOM maintenance.
  • Reporting and analysing variances across materials, labour, overheads and PPV.
  • Supporting value-engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Producing monthly management accounts.
  • Managing commercial reporting: sales analysis, pricing, margin insights and trends.
  • Creating financial models to support investment cases, scenario planning and margin analysis.
  • Leading forecasting and supporting annual budgeting.

Inventory & Assets

  • Overseeing stock control, valuation, reporting and excess & obsolete management.
  • Managing fixed assets: proposals, approvals and investment support.

Compliance & Audit

  • Supporting statutory reporting and tax compliance.
  • Assisting in the annual audit cycle.
  • Ensuring strong financial controls across finance processes.

Business Partnering

  • Working closely with production, supply chain, procurement and commercial teams—UK and overseas.
  • Presenting insights clearly to non-finance colleagues.
  • Supporting intercompany reporting including transfer pricing and through-margin analysis.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment (global exposure ideal).
  • Strong analytical skills with confidence in financial modelling.
  • Experience with Power BI and/or Microsoft D365 F&O is an advantage.
  • Clear, confident communicator who can simplify financial information.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to challenge, influence and drive performance.
