ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN
[Employer hidden] is a world leading manufacturer of high value electronic equipment across a variety of industries. Due to our on-going expansion program, we require additional staff to join our Production team. The position requires a minimum qualification of an ONC/HNC in Electronics or a similar discipline.
You will be working within a Production team consisting of Electrical and Mechanical Technicians building our specialist equipment.
This role is based at our office in Lowestoft (UK).
You will be involved in all areas of manufacture and repair. Within this role you will be expected to: -
- Repair and fault trace to component level.
- Assemble, wire, calibrate and test Electro/Mechanical sub-assemblies including PCB’s.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience of analogue and digital fault finding.
- Be responsible for feedback and improvements to both existing and new product development.
All processes will need to be carried out in accordance with our ISO9001 quality system. You must be competent with manufacturing and fault tracing of surface mount PCB’s as well as through hole PCB’s. You should be competent with wiring control panels including wiring to components as well as being able to produce wiring looms and cable forms to a high standard.
Experience within industrial X-Ray and or the NDT industry would be a distinct advantage.
Experience in dealing with customers is highly desirable as part of this role may require you to attend customer’s premises to provide training and support to [Employer hidden]’s product range both in the UK and Internationally.
You should possess strong communication skills, to facilitate efficient communication both within the production team and across both the sales and engineering teams. It is important to capture both customer and internal comments & feed these into the design process to assist in the cycle of continuous improvement.
Experience of working within a production role in the electronic industry to a quality management system (ISO9001) would be advantageous. During all aspects of your work, you will be required to ensure the companies adherence to this standard.
You should be a self-motivated individual who has a patient “can do” attitude and takes pride in their work. We would expect you to strive to exceed deadlines and targets whilst maintaining the highest quality of work in line with the company standard. This role would suit a confident individual who is able to work alone and communicate on all levels.
It is required that you have a full passport and UK driving licence as both International & U.K. Travel may be required.
PACKAGE
Salary- Negotiable (based on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am to 17:00pm. (may vary)
