Part-Time Nanny – Lee-on-Solent

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] have been providing childcare services for 25 years, we are currently recruiting a part time nanny.

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, reliable and experienced Part-Time Nanny to support a family based in Lee-on-Solent, caring for their 4-year-old child in the family home.

This role will initially begin in May 2026 on an ad hoc basis, supporting the family around their shift patterns, with no weekend work required. From September, the role will increase to three days per week, primarily supporting with school drop-offs and collections.

Working hours will vary depending on the time of year:

  • May – August: 4:30pm – 9:00pm (ad hoc days)
  • From September: 6:30am – 9:00am and 3:30pm – 9:00pm, three days per week

There is also the potential for this role to develop into a nanny share opportunity.

The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing environment while supporting the child’s development, routines and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect the child safely from nursery or school and ensure a smooth transition home.
  • Provide attentive, nurturing care for a 4-year-old child in the family home.
  • Plan and engage in age-appropriate play and learning activities.
  • Encourage outdoor play and activities, supporting the child’s enjoyment of being outdoors.
  • Prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks.
  • Support the child’s social, emotional and developmental needs.
  • Maintain a calm and consistent after-school and evening routine.
  • Assist with bedtime routines, including tidying toys, bath time (if required), and preparing the child for bed.
  • Maintain clear communication with parents regarding the child’s day and wellbeing.

About You

We are looking for a warm, proactive and professional nanny who is passionate about supporting young children.

You will have:

  • A Level 3 Childcare Qualification (essential)
  • Ofsted registration, or willingness to obtain this (essential)
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
  • Experience working with children in an early years setting or nanny role
  • A nurturing approach with strong communication skills
  • The ability to create engaging activities that support learning and development
