FULL DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a commercially astute Senior HR Business Partner to lead the people agenda across two operational manufacturing sites within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior site leadership teams to shape and deliver people strategies that directly support operational performance, productivity, and growth across two manufacturing sites.
  • Translate group people strategy into site-level execution through effective workforce planning, organisational design, and capability development in collaboration with the People Centre of Excellence.
  • Lead strategic workforce and succession planning to ensure the development and retention of critical talent and future capability across the sites.
  • Provide expert, risk-based guidance on complex employee relations, employment legislation, and organisational change, supporting confident and compliant decision-making within a unionised or highly regulated operational environment.
  • Drive a consistent and effective HR operating model across both sites, embedding governance, compliance, and best practice across all people processes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop an HR Business Partner, building capability and ensuring strong HR delivery across day-to-day operational activity.
  • Influence and support the implementation of performance management, talent development, and leadership capability initiatives in partnership with the wider HR team.
  • Utilise people data, operational metrics, and insight to inform strategic decision-making, identify trends, and continuously improve the effectiveness of the people agenda.

About You

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Significant HR Business Partner experience within a manufacturing, food production, FMCG, or operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively with senior operational leaders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of the challenges within a production environment.
  • Extensive experience managing complex employee relations issues and supporting organisational change.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
