Project Manager – Contract – West Wales

Location: West Wales

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Renewable Energy sectors.Previous experience supporting major energy projects is essential.

The role is outside IR35.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Management of Projects from early phases to completion of detailed engineering.
  • The successful candidate will ideally come from a Process Engineering background though other disciplines will be considered.
  • Collaborate as part of the project management team.
  • Undertaking work on client sites providing technical advice and project management services.
  • This role will be working in a design/office environment but may require regular trips to site.
  • Producing budget costs and cash flow projections for projects.
  • Planning, scheduling and monitoring progress on engineering projects.
  • Maintain and developing relationships with key stakeholders on projects.
  • Ensure that issues relating to HSE are effectively managed, in line with the clients’ policies and procedures.
  • Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings with clients and internal team.
  • Support and lead bids and tenders for future projects.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Previous experience supporting major energy projects is essential (eg. LNG, petrochemical or refining).
  • Must be Degree qualified.
  • Chartered status highly advantageous though not essential.
  • Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
  • Planning and organising, communication, team working and problem solving.
  • Good level of numeracy, literacy and IT knowledge.
