FULL DESCRIPTION

Role & Responsibilities

Management of Projects from early phases through installment, commissioning and handover.

  • The role will be overseeing the full transformation of a plant to a full operating capability.
  • This is a client-side role, working with the FEED / EPC to manage all engineering, construction and commissioning activities.
  • Acting as the key interface with the FEED / EPC Contractor to drive project execution and contract strategy.
  • The role will be based on site in London for c.2-3 years before transitioning to site in North East England during the construction phase.
  • Collaborate as part of the project management team.
  • Developing and supporting the implementation of details work plans, including remedial changes and repairs.
  • Checking the quality of subcontractor design work to ensure compliance with agreed client design specifications.
  • Produce budget costs and cash flow projections for projects.
  • Plan, schedule and steward progress on engineering projects.
  • Maintain and further develop relationships with key stakeholders on projects.
  • Ensure that issues relating to HSE are effectively managed, in line with the clients’ policies and procedures.
  • Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings with clients and internal team.
  • Will be required to provide input into HAZOP / HAZIDs.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Must be degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline, chartered status desired but not essential.
  • Previously worked in the Oil & Gas or Renewable Energy industries.
  • Must have power plant build / refurb / commissioning / re-commissioning experience.
  • Being a pro-active, independent self-starter is also essential.
