[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a Press Toolmaker to maintain and repair press tooling, identify modifications, and support production targets. The role involves preventative maintenance and requires experience in a manufacturing setting, problem-solving skills, and competence with conventional machines.
Day in the Life
[Employer hidden] is an award-winning innovative company supplying parts for the automotive industry, we have full inhouse tool manufacturing capabilities, due to continued growth and expansion of [Employer hidden] we have a great opportunity available and are looking for a press tooling engineer. You will be part of a team repairing, maintaining and improving the tooling performance.
Role Responsibilities
- Maintenance and repair of press tooling (transfer and progression)
- Identifying and carrying out modification to press tools where necessary
- Assisting production teams to achieve production targets by supporting with tooling development
- Carrying out preventative maintenance
Skills & Abilities
- 3 years in a manufacturing setting preferably working with stamping or injection molding tooling
- Excellent problem solver with the ability to meet production deadlines
- Fully competent on conventional machines including Mills, Lathes and Grinders

- The person should be able to work as a team and independently
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets
- Excellent communication at all levels
- Driven to succeed in an expanding company
Compensation and Benefits
- Hours of work- 37.5 per week
- Salary – Negotiable depending on experience
- Generous holiday allowance 25 days + bank holidays
- Shift premiums payable
- Overtime available. Weekend working not compulsory.
