FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a Press Toolmaker to maintain and repair press tooling, identify modifications, and support production targets. The role involves preventative maintenance and requires experience in a manufacturing setting, problem-solving skills, and competence with conventional machines.

Day in the Life

[Employer hidden] is an award-winning innovative company supplying parts for the automotive industry, we have full inhouse tool manufacturing capabilities, due to continued growth and expansion of [Employer hidden] we have a great opportunity available and are looking for a press tooling engineer. You will be part of a team repairing, maintaining and improving the tooling performance.

Role Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and repair of press tooling (transfer and progression)
  • Identifying and carrying out modification to press tools where necessary
  • Assisting production teams to achieve production targets by supporting with tooling development
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance

Skills & Abilities

  • 3 years in a manufacturing setting preferably working with stamping or injection molding tooling
  • Excellent problem solver with the ability to meet production deadlines
  • Fully competent on conventional machines including Mills, Lathes and Grinders

Person profile

  • The person should be able to work as a team and independently
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets
  • Excellent communication at all levels
  • Driven to succeed in an expanding company

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hours of work- 37.5 per week
  • Salary – Negotiable depending on experience
  • Generous holiday allowance 25 days + bank holidays

  • Overtime available. Weekend working not compulsory.
