Purpose
We are looking for a full-time Baker to join our Day Bakery Team at our Ascot Drive Bakery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for baking who enjoys working in a busy bakery environment and takes pride in producing high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Weigh and prepare ingredients accurately for bakery production.
- Operate bakery machinery, including mixing, baking, and packing equipment.
- Assist with the production of a variety of bakery products.
- Ensure products are prepared and presented to high quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace while adhering to strict food hygiene and safety guidelines.
- Work efficiently to ensure dispatch deadlines are met.
Shifts
- 45 hours per week
- Day shift starting at 5:00am
- Required to work 1 in 5 Saturdays to support our 7-day bakery operation.
Experience
- Good knowledge and understanding of bakery machinery and handcrafted baking processes.
- Ability to produce bakery items efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Pastry and confectionery skills such as piping and decorating would be highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within a fast-paced team environment.
Qualifications
Previous bakery experience preferred. Training will be provided for suitable applicants.
