Care Assistant

As a Care Assistant, you’ll support customers in their own homes, helping them live independently, safely and with dignity. Whether you’re experienced or completely new to care, we’ll support you to succeed.

⭐ What you’ll do

You’ll provide high‑quality care and support, including:

  • Helping customers get up, go to bed, wash, bathe, dress and use the toilet
  • Supporting mobility, physical disabilities, incontinence care and use of personal aids
  • Providing comfort and practical support to customers who are unwell or receiving end‑of‑life care
  • Encouraging wellbeing through conversation, hobbies, outings and meaningful activities
  • Light household tasks such as making beds, tidying, laundry and emptying commodes
  • Preparing and serving light meals, setting trays and washing up
  • Recording clear care notes and contributing to customer reviews
  • Reporting any changes in a customer’s health or circumstances
  • Promoting independence at every opportunity
