About the Role:

Duties & This role will provide you with an exciting opportunity to join a growing consultancy, with significant career progression opportunities. You will be competent in reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry design for building structures. Experience in finite element analysis modelling, producing technical reports and specifications would be preferable. Knowledge of temporary works design, bridge and highway structures, water sector projects, or water retaining structures would be beneficial, but not essential.

Key duties/responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering design and technical outputs of projects or service areas to meet the client’s brief.
  • Prepare technical documentation, issuing designs, documents, approvals, and reports.
  • Deliver detailed design engineering solutions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Be the contact for the client, contractors, and other relevant project consultants.
  • Deliver technical excellence and innovation across the project team.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to optimise the resource and demand balance.
  • Work in collaboration with other engineering disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Ensure that delivery is achieved in accordance with AMCEs management systems including Health and Safety, project, and risk management.

Qualifications for Role:

  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards).
  • BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 5 years post graduate work experience in a similar environment.
  • Previous experience at an engineering-based consultancy.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
