Credit Control Excel Problem Solving Debt Management Customer Experience Communication

FULL DESCRIPTION

About the role

We’re looking for a driven and detail‑oriented Credit Controller to join our fast‑paced global organisation, where Finance sits at the centre of everything we do. In this role, you’ll play a key part in protecting the business by ensuring timely collections, reducing risk, and nurturing strong client relationships.

From day one, you’ll be engaging with clients regarding overdue invoices—using both phone and email—while supporting internal teams with any related queries. Within your first few months, you’ll take ownership of monitoring customer accounts, investigating discrepancies, reporting on debt positions, and helping refine our existing credit control processes.

You’ll work closely with the Credit Manager on litigation preparation, credit risk identification, and credit limit monitoring. This role also includes approving client refunds, supporting Accounts Receivable activities, and contributing to broader team projects when needed.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a high‑pressure, fast‑moving environment and is excited by the challenge of keeping cash flow strong while maintaining positive client partnerships.

About you

You’re a confident communicator with at least 3 years of credit control experience, and you’re comfortable balancing professionalism with the diplomacy needed to manage sensitive payment conversations. You have strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to quickly pick up new tools and processes.

To succeed in this role, you will also bring:

  • A collaborative, team‑focused approach
  • Strong Excel skills, including V‑Lookups and Pivot Tables
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to investigate account queries thoroughly
  • Experience managing overdue debt and monitoring credit risk
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • A passion for delivering great customer experiences while ensuring payments are collected in line with agreed terms

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real impact, grow your skills, and be part of a dynamic finance function—this could be the perfect next step in your career.
