In this vital role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, analyse, and implement waste reduction initiatives, contributing to both environmental and operational excellence. About the Role of CI Technician:

As a Waste Reduction Technician, you'll be the driving force behind the site-wide waste reduction program, working closely with operational teams and Continuous Improvement (CI) Managers to deliver real, measurable results. You’ll own the waste framework, oversee key projects, and escalate risks to keep everything on track. You won’t just support change – you’ll lead it.

Days to day duties of a CI Technician include:

  • Analysing data reports and identifying opportunities for improvements.
  • Lead the Waste Excellence Journey at our Bridgwater plant.
  • Own and maintain the waste project framework and ensure timely, on-target delivery.
  • Report weekly on progress, risks, and resource needs in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Deliver training and coaching on waste reduction and CI tools to operational teams.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality.
  • Ensure sustainable results and embed new processes across the operation.
  • Reduce waste % across the site and departments.
  • Ensure projects stay aligned with plan and deliver sustainable results.
  • Support long-term business strategy by enabling effective, lasting improvements.

About You:

You will be an experienced professional with a strong background in Continuous Improvement (CI), Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies—certification is a plus. With a proven track record of delivering tangible, sustainable improvements, you bring valuable operational experience as a CI Technician, CI Coach, or Team Leader.
