About the role

The Operations Director will be responsible for challenging, leading & implementing the operational business plan and overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the company. This Group Senior leadership role is critical to driving operational excellence, optimizing profitability, and scaling the business to support future growth. Within this role you will manage all operational departments and be accountable for the company’s P&L. Reporting directly to the MD and the Board, this role will play a strategic role in the execution of the company’s long-term goals.

Key responsibilities

We are seeking an Operations Director with the following experience and attributes:

  • • Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering-based industry.
  • • Demonstrated track record of P&L ownership and improving business performance.
  • • Strong leadership and people management skills with experience leading large teams and effective management of Senior positions.
  • • Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain management, quality control, and lean methodologies.
  • • Experience reporting to or working closely with a board of directors.
  • • Strong commercial acumen and ability to align operations with strategic business goals.
  • • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management or related field.
