The Role
Reporting to the Project Commercial Lead, you'll take full commercial ownership of a portfolio of projects on a high-profile utilities framework, with individual project values ranging from £5m to £15m. This is a role where you'll be given real autonomy - with the opportunity to make a genuine impact on project outcomes from early-stage cost planning through to final account.

  • Maintain cost control and forecasting across allocated packages
  • Produce and analyse weekly and monthly commercial reports covering value, cost, and cash flow
  • Manage supply chain engagement, negotiation, and performance
  • Support risk and value management processes
  • Administer NEC contracts and maintain accurate commercial records
  • Lead subcontract procurement and contract setup
  • Advise project teams on contractual and commercial matters
  • Ensure compliance with project safety and quality requirements
  • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives

What You'll Need

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Proven main contractor experience
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 forms of contract

Desirable

  • Experience in water, utilities, or regulated infrastructure
  • Chartered (MRICS) or actively working towards chartership

What's on Offer

  • Salary: £48,000-£60,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Company car or car allowance of £4,800
  • Hybrid working (Bristol-based)
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (option to buy 5 additional days)
  • Pension, life assurance, and private medical insurance
  • Cycle-to-work scheme, employee discounts, and wellbeing initiatives
  • Structured CPD and professional development support
  • Long-term framework stability with a national contractor
