Meet Our Client

Our client is a young man in his early 20s who lives at home in Derby with his family and siblings. He enjoys a variety of activities that bring him comfort and joy, including listening to music on his Tonie box, watching Disney films on his iPad, and taking part in sensory-based activities.

He values family life and enjoys time with his siblings and shared routines. He finds comfort in gentle, familiar support and calming approaches such as massage, and thrives on meaningful interaction, including being read to and enjoying outdoor time, especially trips to the local park.

The role involves providing 2:1 essential, person-centred overnight care within the family home. Support includes following his established night-time routines, delivering clinical interventions as required, and providing personal care and repositioning when necessary. He usually settles for the night at around 9:00pm.

Care staff are required to remain awake and attentive throughout the night, responding promptly and appropriately to his needs to ensure his comfort, safety, and overall wellbeing at all times.
