Job Summary:
ADSL is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analytical Chemist to join our dynamic team in Paignton, England. As an Analytical Chemist, you will play a critical role in the development and quality control of cosmetic products. Your expertise in analytical techniques and attention to detail will contribute to the creation of innovative, safe, and high-quality cosmetic solutions. This role is full time and is based in Paignton, England.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 0900 – 1700 (9:00AM – 5:00PM)
Role Responsibilities:
- Analytical Testing: Perform a wide range of analytical tests on cosmetic products, including but not limited to: Chemical composition analysis, Stability testing, pH measurements, Viscosity testing, Microbiological testing, Raw material characterization
- Method Development: Develop and validate analytical methods to ensure accurate and reproducible results for cosmetic product analysis.
- Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality standards of cosmetic products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Instrumentation: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and other analytical instruments.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data, and prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry trends related to cosmetic products, ensuring that all testing and documentation are in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including formulation scientists, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance, to support product development and improvement efforts.
- Safety and Documentation: Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain accurate records of all experiments, procedures, and results.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements, cost-effective testing strategies, and the development of new analytical techniques.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field.Proven experience in analytical testing, preferably in the cosmetics or personal care industry.
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for cosmetic products is a plus.
