Nurse Manager

Job Title: Nurse Manager

Reports to: Chief Executive

Minimum Qualifications: Registered General Nurse / minimum of five years' post-qualification experience / at least two years' experience within the last five years working in a similar care setting providing nursing care / management qualification or two years' relevant managerial experience at Band 6 Level

Job Profile

The award-winning [Employer hidden] Care Home in Bangor, Co. Down, is seeking to appoint a Nurse Manager to its Nursing Unit.

The 41-bed unit is renowned within the area for its high standards of care of the elderly and those living with dementia or a physical disability.

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service ensuring these standards are maintained and continued compliance with relevant legislation.

The individual in this role will be supported by a team of kind, skilled and enthusiastic colleagues.

The Person

The Nurse Manager will lead by example, whilst inspiring and encouraging his/her/their team to deliver excellent care through ongoing coaching, training, mentoring and guidance.

With a genuine interest in the wellbeing of others, the Nurse Manager will work alongside residents and loved ones to develop a detailed care plan tailored to the needs and preferences of the individual.

An outgoing and friendly personality is essential to build trust and meaningful rapport with service users and their family members as well as colleagues.

We are immensely proud of the high standard of care delivered to our residents and our Nurse Manager must be passionate about maintaining that. Strong communication and organisational skills are required to ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of service users in a safe, comfortable environment.
