Responsibilities:
- Inspecting inbound and outbound goods, recording checks, and driving corrective actions.
- Partnering with suppliers, warehouse teams, and commercial functions on product quality and own-label specifications.
- Reviewing and approving packaging, labelling, and compliance documentation.
- Engaging suppliers on product standards, packaging, and corrective action.
- Coordinating packaging and labelling approvals.
- Supporting depot managers with compliance reviews and audits.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous quality control or quality assurance experience in warehouse/distribution FMCG, or retail.
- BA Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or equivalent.
- HACCP, BRC, or ISO certification desirable.
- Strong knowledge of UK food safety regulations and labelling standards.
- ERP/WMS system knowledge.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, capable of establishing genuine and productive connections
- Strong in being planned and organised with attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Skilled in risk management, root cause analysis, and audit preparation.
- Able to interpret quality metrics and drive performance improvements
- Flexible to support multiple sites and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
