We are seeking a proactive Yardsman who is reliable, punctual, and motivated to get the job done, to join our West Thurrock team. This role is crucial for the general site cleanliness, cleaning of chemical tanks and bunds, movements of items and products by forklift truck, powder tanker loading, plant steel painting.
Purpose of the role
This role is crucial for the general site cleanliness, cleaning of chemical tanks and bunds, movements of items and products by forklift truck, powder tanker loading, plant steel painting.
This position requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Cleaning of chemical containment bunds
- Cleaning inside of chemical tanks
- Packing and storing finished products
- Goods in and out, including using forklift trucks.
- General site cleanliness, site house keeping
- Manual work including cleaning and digging in process areas
- Ensure that any problems are reported to the relevant manager/department immediately
- Ensure that personal protective clothing is worn, at all times.
