FULL DESCRIPTION

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and creative Business Intelligence Analyst to advance our analytics capabilities and support data-driven decision-making across our organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing dashboards in modern BI platforms and strong data wrangling skills, along with a passion for transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights.

You will liaise between [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]’s software engineers, data engineering partner, and the business to develop new reports and dashboards for business performance monitoring and optimization.

This role requires strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and scope and manage [Employer hidden]’s data needs. We are looking for an intellectually curious data generalist with strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills who is eager to learn and grow alongside [Employer hidden].

It is a full-time role for up to a 3-month contract.

Working hours: It is essential to have at least 4 working hours of overlap with US Eastern time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of [Employer hidden]’s data environment, architecture, and key business drivers
  • Lead the development, deployment, and optimization of dashboards and reports in Evidence, ensuring performance, data integrity, and visual clarity
  • Translate business questions into scalable reporting solutions and data models that enable fast, reliable decision-making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and success metrics, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives
  • Create clear and compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards that drive action and uncover insights
  • Establish and evangelize best practices for dashboard development, report automation, and data governance
  • Support training for business users in leveraging self-service BI tools, helping foster a culture of data-driven decision-making
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 2–6 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and BI/dashboard development
  • Experience with modern BI platforms such as Evidence, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools
  • Proficiency in SQL, with proven ability to query, manipulate, and join large datasets across multiple sources, including writing queries from scratch
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and performance optimization principles, with the ability to build dashboards from scratch
  • Experience working in cloud-based data ecosystems such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS
  • Experience with BigQuery
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or R for data exploration or automation
  • Previous experience with Evidence BI is a plus
