### Mechanical Maintenance (Days)

Wrexham Basic Salary: £48,000 to £51,000 Overtime: x1.5 Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (12-hour day shifts) On-call rota required (includes nights)

### The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multiskilled Engineer with a mechanical bias to join a well-established manufacturing site in Wrexham. This role offers the chance to work within a fast-paced production environment where engineering plays a critical role in maintaining operational performance and minimising downtime.

You will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring production and intake systems operate efficiently and safely.

### Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across plant and production equipment.
  • Diagnose and respond to breakdowns and production interruptions, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Work closely with the production team to identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Implement short-term fixes and long-term engineering solutions to improve plant reliability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, quality and performance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation to ensure compliance and safe working practices.
  • Ensure all engineering work follows strict health, safety and quality procedures.

### Candidate Requirements

  • Ideally qualified/apprentice-trained in both Mechanical and Electrical engineering.
  • 17th Edition electrical certification (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong experience within a manufacturing or process environment.
  • Knowledge of Star Delta systems and PLCs would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of Safe Isolation procedures.
  • Proven ability to deliver both reactive and proactive engineering solutions.
  • Experience working within KPI-driven engineering environments.
