Maintenance Engineer

Stoke on Trent

Monday to Friday days only - early finish Fridays

Up to 45k + overtime

25 days + Bank holidays Annual Leave

A highly reputable manufacturer in Stoke are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to minimise plant downtime, assist with projects and implement PPM/ Continuous improvement across their state of the art facility.

About the Maintenance Engineer Role:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll ensure the smooth, efficient, and continuous running of mechanical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems across our manufacturing facility whilst developing and implementing strategies that keep our production facilities operating at their best - safely, reliably, and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a wide range of plant and machinery
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
  • Install and test new parts and equipment
  • Support commissioning of machinery and develop maintenance strategies
  • Work with PLC systems and advanced production machinery including CNC, press brakes, laser cutters, robotic welding systems and conveyor systems.
  • Be part of an on-call rota for out-of-hours maintenance support

What We're Looking For

Time-served maintenance experience in from the manufacturing sector.

Ideally you will have some form of electrical training/ skills with experience of electrical fault finding.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Hands-on approach with good electrical and mechanical awareness
