FULL DESCRIPTION
Maintenance Person
We’re now looking for a hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Person to help keep our sites running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and being a go-to person on site. Based at our Aylesbury Innovation Centre, you will support our Manufacturing, R&D, and Warehousing facilities. You’ll play an important role in day-to-day maintenance, responding to issues as they arise and helping us maintain a safe, well-presented working environment. You’ll work closely with the wider Facilities team and external contractors, delivering a reliable and customer-focused service to colleagues across the business.
Salary £32,000 - £38,000
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the heartbeat of our Aylesbury site, ensuring everything from the lights to the leaks is handled with care. A typical day might include:
- Staying ahead of the game: You’ll balance a mix of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and quick-response Reactive Repairs. Whether it’s basic Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical work, you’re the person who keeps the wheels turning.
- Taking pride in the site: You’ll handle "Building Fabric" tasks—think of this as the finishing touches. From minor carpentry and painting to ensuring our workspaces look sharp and professional, you’ll have a keen eye for detail.
- Managing our systems: You’ll help us keep an eye on the HVAC (Heating & Cooling) and BMS (Building Management Systems). You don’t need to be an expert, but you’ll be our "eyes and ears" on the ground.
- Keeping us safe: Safety is a team effort. You’ll lead our routine Statutory Compliance checks, including Fire Alarm testing, L8 Water Hygiene (Legionella monitoring), and ladder inspections.
- Collaborating with pros: When we bring in specialists, you’ll be their main point of contact. You’ll supervise External Contractors, ensuring they work safely and follow their RAMS (Risk Assessments) while on-site.
- Staying organised: You’ll use our internal systems to log your wins and keep accurate records of work completed, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Supporting the big picture: From helping with Office Moves to pitching in on small site projects, you’ll be a versatile player who enjoys a varied to-do list.
