RHIZA Field Operator

We’re looking to recruit a RHIZA Operative to join our team based at Throws Farm in Dunmow. This is a hybrid, hands-on, practical role supporting soil sampling, field scanning, and in-field assessments – enabling growers to unlock the full potential of their fields with high-quality precision data. Our successful candidate will travel to a range of farms and rural settings across the Essex, Anglia and Kent regions - with some occasional travel as far as the Hertfordshire / Bedfordshire areas.

In this role, you will:

• Carry out soil sampling and in-field scanning using an ATV and specialist equipment.
• Complete a range of practical assessments to support precision agronomy services.
• Work closely with regional agronomists, Crop Input Specialists and the RHIZA team to deliver data to customers efficiently.
• Manage your own workload and travel schedule across the entire South East region.
• Maintain equipment to ensure high standards of data collection and service delivery.

What you’ll need:

• A strong interest in agriculture and a willingness to learn.
• Confidence to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Practical mindset, with the ability to use field machinery (training provided).
• Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel regular long distances.
• Experience with ATVs, agricultural machinery, or precision farming is advantageous but not essential.
• Lockable storage for both an ATV and company vehicle is preferred but not essential.
