We're Hiring: Hire Controller

Based in Inverness

Full-time | Office-based

We're looking for a Hire Controller to join our Hire Desk team and play a key role in supporting the hiring and off-hiring of plant and equipment to our customers. This role is ideal for a proactive, organised individual with a strong eye for detail and a customer-focused mindset.

What you'll do

As an essential part of the Hire Desk team, you'll:

  • Manage the hiring and off-hiring of plant and equipment to customers
  • Support and advise Hire Negotiators with pricing, specifications and availability
  • Ensure quotes are raised for every customer enquiry
  • Maintain accurate Live Hire and Closed Hire files
  • Manage and process re-charges accurately
  • Produce Hire Desk revenue reports
  • Prepare detailed customer reports as required
  • Ensure all hire information is accurate and provided correctly every time
  • Respond to and resolve hire-related customer queries
  • Liaise daily with the Service and Transport teams to ensure smooth operations

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of plant and equipment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
