Based in Inverness

Full-time | Site-based

We're looking for an In-Plant Hire Controller to act as a key stakeholder embedded within one of our major customer frameworks, representing [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Ltd on-site. This is a high-impact, relationship-driven role where responsiveness, commercial awareness, and collaboration are critical to success.

What you'll do

As the In-Plant Hire Controller, you will take ownership of the on-site hire function, ensuring service excellence and commercial growth.

You will:

  • Build and maintain strong, robust relationships with the client hire desk and key stakeholders
  • Drive account spend growth year on year (minimum 15%)
  • Support and lead on Joint Venture tender submissions
  • Respond to all enquiries within 15 minutes in line with framework KPIs
  • Close out customer queries and disputes within 24 hours of receipt
  • Produce and present accurate monthly spend reports
  • Identify and share new sales opportunities with the Sales & Marketing Director
  • Promote new product innovations aligned to our four strategic pillars
  • Attend quarterly Sales meetings and provide performance updates
  • Champion a true One Team ethos between Lynch and client teams

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience within the construction industry (essential)
  • Experience in a similar hire desk, implant, or account management role (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of plant and hire operations
  • Proven ability to work in a KPI-driven, fast-paced environment
  • A track record of driving efficiencies and commercial growth within a key account
