Commercial Controller – Impulse & New Business
Field based (UK) | Reports to Sales Director

What we’re looking for
This is a high-ownership, high-impact commercial leadership role at the forefront of [Employer hidden]’s growth.
As Commercial Controller – Impulse & New Business, you’ll own how [Employer hidden] wins in Impulse. You’ll set the strategy, build the plan, lead the team, and personally unlock priority new business customers. You’ll sit on the Sales Leadership Team and act as the commercial lead for one of [Employer hidden]’s most important growth channels.
This role is for someone entrepreneurial, commercially sharp, and energised by building things at pace. You’ll be comfortable with ambiguity, confident with data, and motivated by leading people and partnerships that deliver tangible impact.
Job requirements
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Own the Impulse strategy Define where and how [Employer hidden] wins across Convenience, Wholesale, Away from Home and Foodservice, aligned to consumer occasions and [Employer hidden]’s three-year ambition. Prioritise sub-channels and customers based on impact, and act as the internal and external Impulse expert.
- Win new business Build and run a best-in-class new business funnel from lead to close. Personally unlock priority customers, develop and own the new business playbook, and build enabling partnerships with key wholesalers.
- Deliver the commercials Segment AFH customers and focus effort where it pays back. Work cross-functionally to ensure major wins land in outlet. Own forecasting, month-end close, and risks and opportunities for the channel.
- Build standout customer partnerships and lead the team Own senior customer relationships, orchestrate the right [Employer hidden] people around customers, and build partnerships beyond the meeting room. Lead, coach and develop the Impulse team, setting clear standards on pace, focus and accountability.

Who you are:
- Highly commercial and comfortable taking ownership in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Able to set the strategy and deliver the plan hands-on, with strong execution discipline.
- Confident building credible senior customer relationships and influencing across functions.
- Data-driven, with confidence in forecasting, insight and commercial performance management.
Even better if you have:
- Experience in Impulse, Convenience, Wholesale or Away from Home / Foodservice.
- A track record of unlocking new business customers or building channels.
- Experience leading and developing commercial teams.
