FULL DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Specialist Mentor to support our students with additional needs at [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]. The role involves working on a one-to-one level with our BA or MA Applied Theology students to help them achieve an appropriate balance of activities from everyday living to academic related tasks. This could include helping to improve organisational skills, managing anxiety, reflecting on experiences, and improving confidence from building on existing strengths.

Overview:

We are seeking a Specialist Mentor to support our students with additional needs at [Employer hidden]. The role involves working on a one-to-one level with our BA or MA Applied Theology students to help them achieve an appropriate balance of activities from everyday living to academic related tasks. This could include helping to improve organisational skills, managing anxiety, reflecting on experiences, and improving confidence from building on existing strengths.

This is a specialist role so successful candidates will be required to have professional membership of at least one of the following Counselling or Psychotherapy organisations at the level(s) indicated within this link (see pages 8 to 11). Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from candidates with experience, but without the necessary qualifications, due to Dept of Education requirements.

The role is preferably carried out by face to face meetings at our rural campus in Sopley, Christchurch but could be conducted online via Teams. The number of hours per week is subject to the number of students needing support, but at this time we anticipate this to be no more than 3 hours per week.
