FULL DESCRIPTION

After school club lead - Manchester (M13)

Hours: Part time – 15 hours week - 3-6pm, holiday club hours available too

Salary: up to £15.00 per hour(dependant on experience)

Join our Manchester team as Wraparound Care Manager!

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are recruiting an After School Club Lead to run high-quality, safe and engaging after school provision for children aged 4–11. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of activities that promote play, creativity and wellbeing, supervise children throughout the session, and ensure smooth handover to parents and carers. The role includes setting up and clearing away resources, maintaining registers and incident records, managing behaviour positively and liaising with school staff to ensure consistency of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote play, creativity, physical activity and social development
  • Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety, welfare and enjoyment
  • Manage behaviour using positive strategies and maintain high expectations for conduct
  • Maintain accurate registers, record incidents and communicate relevant information to school staff and parents/carers
  • Prepare and clear activity areas and equipment before and after sessions
  • Organise healthy snacks in line with school policies and food hygiene guidance where required
  • Lead and support other club staff, including delegating tasks and contributing to their induction and development
  • Contribute to planning for holiday clubs and special events when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children in clubs, schools or childcare settings, including supervisory experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage children and parents
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to plan and adapt activities
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practice (training can be provided if required)
  • Food hygiene awareness for snack preparation (desirable)
  • Willingness to travel between nearby sites when required
  • Valid DBS clearance (we can assist with the application if needed)
