RE (Religious Education) Teacher

Location: ELAT (Empower Learning Academy Trust) Hall Mead School

Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective RE lessons in line with the school curriculum.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students through regular assessment and feedback.
  • Develop and maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide extra support to students who are struggling and challenge those who are excelling.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
  • Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in religious studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field.
  • Relevant teaching qualification and certification.
  • Strong knowledge of RE curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • A patient and supportive approach to teaching.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into the classroom.
  • Understanding and respect for different religious beliefs and cultures.
