Are you an experienced Risk professional looking to step into a high-impact, strategic role? We’re looking for a 2nd Line Risk Partner to play a key role in shaping and strengthening risk oversight across People, Legal, Claims, and Fraud.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, influence decision-making, and help build a resilient, forward-thinking risk culture within a dynamic and evolving organisation.

The Role

As a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you’ll provide independent oversight and constructive challenge, ensuring risk frameworks are robust, effective, and aligned to regulatory expectations.

You’ll be at the forefront of identifying emerging risks, improving controls, and driving continuous improvement across critical business areas.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the development and enhancement of risk frameworks, policies, and RCSAs
  • Providing independent challenge on risk events, issues, and remediation plans
  • Assessing and strengthening first-line controls and risk responses
  • Overseeing claims and fraud risk activity, including detection, prevention, and reporting
  • Identifying emerging fraud trends and implementing proactive mitigation strategies
  • Delivering clear, insightful risk reporting to senior leadership, committees, and regulators
  • Building strong relationships across the business to embed a positive risk culture
  • Supporting the CRO with high-quality analysis and reporting

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in risk management within general insurance or a regulated environment
  • Expertise across People, Legal, Claims, and Fraud Risk
  • Solid understanding of FCA/PRA regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex risk into clear insights
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
