### Job Summary
About the Role
[Employer hidden] is seeking a Senior Data Scientist who combines analytical rigour with creative problem-solving. You will work at the intersection of traditional data science and modern AI, developing solutions that help our clients across infrastructure, utilities, and defence turn complex data into actionable intelligence. You will be hands-on in building Generative AI applications, deploying Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, and shaping the next generation of data-driven tools within [Employer hidden]'s innovation ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end data science solutions, from data mapping and cleaning to model deployment.
- Develop and fine-tune Generative AI applications, including chat-based tools, summarisation systems, and knowledge assistants.
- Build and manage RAG pipelines, integrating LLMs with enterprise data sources to deliver accurate, context-aware outputs.
- Work closely with data engineers to ensure scalable, production-ready deployments within Azure environments.
- Collaborate with analysts and business teams to translate analytical insights into practical outcomes.
- Evaluate new techniques in AI and machine learning, driving [Employer hidden]'s capability forward through experimentation and continuous learning.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

- Proficiency across Microsoft's Azure AI and data ecosystem, with an eagerness to adopt Fabric and other emerging technologies.
