General Assistant

We are currently looking for a General Assistant to assist in working in various departments throughout our busy garden centre. You will be working in different parts of the business to ensure that our shop floor is fully stocked and well merchandised to ensure a good experience for all our customers. Having previous experience within a retail environment and a passion for customer service is desirable but not a strict requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Operating and covering Tills, training will be given.
• Aiding customers with any enquiries, ensuring a good customer experience.
• General housekeeping of the shop floor departments
• Merchandise products on the shop floor, ensuring that all the products are correctly priced, clearly marked and displayed safely.
• Assisting in other parts of the business as required.

• You are enthusiastic and approachable
• You are willing to develop and learn
• Good customer service skills
• Able to work as part of a team and also on your own initiative
• Previous experience within retail is preferred but not a strict requirement
