FULL DESCRIPTION

Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing mental health conditions in young people, working collaboratively with psychologists, therapists, and families to provide comprehensive care.

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required as part of the pre-employment process, should an offer of employment be made.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for children and adolescents
  • Diagnose and manage a range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, and mood disorders
  • Prescribe and manage medications as appropriate
  • Collaborate with psychologists & other clinicians
  • Maintain up-to-date patient records and ensure adherence to ethical and clinical guidelines
  • Participate in CPD, clinical supervision, and multidisciplinary meetings

Must Have

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • CCT in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (or equivalent) or eligibility for specialist registration
  • Experience in assessing and treating a range of psychiatric conditions in children and young people
  • Valid work permit at UK

Nice to have

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with young patients and their families
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in private practice or NHS settings is desirable
  • Additional languages
