The Role

The permanent Trainee Property Accountant will work directly with the Finance Director, giving the successful candidate amazing exposure & growth opportunities.

The Finance Director is committed to helping the successful candidate grow within their career, allowing them exposure to month-end management accounts, forecasts, budgets etc.

The key components of the role will be:

  • Maintain and update lease data and tenancy schedules, including rent reviews, break clauses, and service charge details
  • Support service charge reconciliations, including accruals and prepayments
  • Process and code supplier invoices, prepare draft rent and service charge reports, and issue approved charges
  • Manage insurance recharges and mid-term adjustments
  • Verify and input new supplier information, including bank details
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for liaising with the Senior Management team

  • Exposure to property, commercial leases or service charge accounting is highly advantageous
  • Driven to succeed within finance
  • A proactive mindset and desire to develop within property finance
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Confidence communicating with clients or stakeholders
