Bar Host

Location: MetrOasis Showroom
Hours:Weekend work (Saturday & Sunday) + additional shifts during events
Reports To: Showroom Manager

At [Employer hidden], we make statements not sofas. Our mission is to create a stress-free, inspiring sofa shopping experience and help everyone create a beautiful home.

As we open our brand new Newcastle showroom in MetrOasis, we’re looking for a fun, friendly Bar Host to help create an amazing experience for every customer who walks through the door.

You’ll be one of the first faces customers see when they arrive, welcoming them into the showroom and offering drinks from our bar area while they browse or place their order. When things get busy, you’ll help keep the showroom flowing smoothly and ensure everyone feels looked after.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming customers warmly as they enter the showroom
  • Offering customers a hot drink and refreshments
  • Supporting customers while they are seated placing their order
  • Helping direct and filter customer flow when the showroom is busy
  • Supporting the sales team by keeping the experience smooth and organised
  • Keeping the showroom clean, tidy and presentable at all times
    - plumping pillows / straightening displays
    - clearing cups / wiping surfaces
    - spot cleaning / tidying up as needed
  • Supporting with events when required (greeting guests, helping set up, creating a great vibe)

Skills & Experience Required

  • Confident speaking to customers
  • Naturally friendly and welcoming
  • Calm under pressure when it gets busy
  • Proactive, you can spot what needs doing without being asked
  • Proud of keeping spaces clean and well-presented
  • Reliable and punctual for weekend shifts
