Care Worker

Responsibilities:

– Provide care and support to individuals in need, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice care – Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation – Assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing – Monitor and manage behaviors of individuals with dementia or behavioral challenges – Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions – Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients – Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up living spaces – Follow care plans and communicate any changes or concerns to supervisors or healthcare professionals

Experience:

– Previous experience in a similar role, such as nursing home or senior care facility, is preferred – Familiarity with medication administration and proper documentation practices – Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices – Experience in behavior management techniques for individuals with dementia or behavioral challenges – First aid certification is a plus

Skills:

– Compassionate and caring attitude towards individuals in need of care – Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals – Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities – Ability to work independently while following established care plans and protocols
