You'll make an impact by:

As a Commercial Claims Adjuster, you will oversee claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring a customer-focused experience throughout the process. With knowledge in commercial property insurance, you will engage effectively with customers and third parties, providing clear communication and promptly addressing inquiries. Managing a diverse portfolio of claims, typically ranging from £10K to £100K across sectors such as Property Owner, Retail, Industrial, and Offices.

You will collaborate with other Commercial Adjusters, the Team Leader, and Technical Experts to ensure comprehensive support. Utilizing your negotiation skills, you will aim for favourable outcomes in claims settlements while providing excellent customer service and fostering relationships with clients.

This role requires excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively. Additionally, you will participate in surge event management to provide vital support during critical times, take responsibility for your ongoing technical development, and travel to sites as required, for which a company car will be provided, along with the necessity of holding a clean driving license.

Your skills and experience

You will:

  • Have experience in handling high-value commercial property claims and managing suppliers and builders with tight controls to protect indemnity spend.
  • Possess the ability to assess and review claims, identifying coverage, validation, and recovery issues while ensuring that the customer journey remains on the correct path and that indemnity is effectively controlled.
  • Familiarity with general building construction is essential, along with the capacity to adapt to the varying needs of customers, prioritizing work effectively to deliver results that meet their expectations.
  • Hold qualifications, ideally at least Cert CII or Cert CILA, and have a desire to progress in your career.
