Job Title: Data Management Volunteer

Reports To: Data Management Team Lead

Role Overview

The Data Management Volunteer will play a key role in supporting PSJ UK’s mission by assisting in the collection, organization, analysis, and reporting of data across various programs and initiatives. The volunteer will help ensure that data systems are efficient, reliable, and aligned with organizational standards. This role is ideal for an individual who is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about data-driven decision-making in the non-profit sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the collection, cleaning, and validation of data from multiple sources and departments.
  • Maintain and update organizational databases, spreadsheets, and shared data repositories.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all reporting systems.
  • Assist in the development of data management tools, templates, and dashboards.
  • Contribute to the preparation of data-driven reports, charts, and visual presentations.
  • Collaborate with the Research, Programmes, and Communications teams to ensure data supports program evaluation and impact reporting.
  • Uphold data protection, privacy, and ethical standards in all data management practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data collection processes and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data entry and management using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other database platforms.
  • Basic understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau) is an added advantage.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a  team.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new data tools and technologies.
